An Engaging Night of Discussion

Cobb County Chairwoman, Lisa Cupid, invites you to a Black History Month Dessert Social that she is hosting here at the Marietta History Center recognizing African American elected officials in Cobb County. This event is open to the public and aims to facilitate meaningful conversation and celebrate the accomplishments of African American elected leaders in our community.

Six African American elected officials, including one former, will share a panel to discuss their experiences and observations. This panel is balanced with more seasoned and newer elected leaders of our county for what is sure to be an engaging discussion. Panelists include:

Former State Representative, Alisha Thomas Searcy

Powder Springs Mayor Al Thurman

Acworth Alderman Tim Houston

Superior Court Judge, Angela Brown

Kennesaw Councilman Antonio Jones

School Board Member Nichelle Davis
